在目前的鋰離子電池行業，石墨類負極材料仍然占據鋰電負極材料的主流地位。但近年新型負極材料等的研究與應用也開始受到業內關注，鈦酸鋰新型負極材料是一個非常重要的方向。

　　Li4Ti5O12相對于鋰電極的電位為1.55V，理論比容量為175mAh/g，實際比容量150～160mAh/g。在Li 嵌入或脫出過程中，晶型不發生變化，體積變化小于1%，因此被稱為“零應變材料”。這一特性使其具有比碳負極更優良的循環性能。

　　鈦酸鋰具有一些其它負極材料無可比擬的優點。作為動力鋰離子電池的負極材料，有著巨大的研究價值和商業應用潛力。

　　2012中國鋰電負極材料研討會將于8月23-25在山東青島召開，來自瑞士克萊恩/德國南方化學的專家將出席會議，并做關于鈦酸鋰負極材料的研究進展的大會報告。

　　R&D updates on LTO based Anode Materials

　　The graphite based materials still occupy the mainstream of the LIB anode materials. While in recent years, the R&D of novel anode materials are concerned by the industry, Li4Ti5O12 (LTO) is a significant direction.

　　The electrode potential of LTO is 1.55V (vs. lithium), the theoretical capacity is 175mAh/g, the actual capacity is 150 ~ 160mAh/g. LTO’s crystal form does not change when Lithium inserting in or escaping out, the volume change is less than 1%, so called "zero-strain material”. These features make it a better cycling performance than the carbon anode.

　　LTO has the particular advantages comparing other anode materials. As an anode material for power lithium-ion battery, it has a huge value and potential for commercial applications.

　　2012 China LIB Anode Materials Conference will be held in August 23-25 in Qingdao, Shandong Province. The expert from Clariant/Sud-Chemie will deliver a presentation on the R&D updates on LTO based Anode Materials.
